Elections will be held on February 4, 2009 during the regular meeting of the Combat Vet Riders, Inc. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Post Falls VFW. Two links are provided below (1) Election Procedures and (2) Membership Form. Please review the CVR 2009 Election Procedures and bring a signed copy of the CVR Membership Form and your CVMA Membership Card to the February 4 meeting if you are eligible and wish to participate in the elections.
A few notes:
- The CVMA Membership card and number is being used only to verify your eligibility as a member of Combat Vet Riders, Inc. (CVR) and your eligibility to participate in this election. CVR is not associated with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA); however, the membership requirements are currently the same. Until such time CVR establishes its own membership cards, we are using the CVMA membership card as an eligibility requirement to participate in the current CVR election.
- A signed copy of the CVR Membership Form will be required by anyone wishing to participate in the election. Please be aware that by announcing your intention to join CVR, Inc. CVMA’s national Board of Directors has indicated that your membership in CVMA will not be renewed.
- CVR members who cannot attend the February 4 meeting in person can identify a full-patch member to cast a proxy vote. In order to do that, three steps must be taken – (1) eligibility as a full-patch member and intention to join CVR will be verified; (2) your proxy will be identified to the Elections Committee, and (3) you will communicate your voting preferences to proxy. To complete the first two steps, contact Colleen Straight via phone or e-mail. Colleen’s phone number is (509) 326-2313 and her e-mail address is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
