General meeting Minutes

MAY 7TH, 2025

Call to order: 1830 Members/auxiliary & guests 59

Officers present: President; Jeremiah, Vice President; Scout, Sargent at arms; Jamz, Secretary; Dawg, Treasure; Elvis and Spider, Advocates; Hansel and Skite.

Pledge, Moment of silence: SA.

Update on Panhead, He is weak, started new meds. Taking it one day at a time. Hopes to be back soon. You are missed brother!

President’s report:

Vice president’s report:

Protocol, when meeting other club, members, officers etc.

BFE Head count. 13TH -15TH

Elder Patch framework. Approved 19-0. This new member position will be added to the By-Laws.

Known Associates cannot exceed 25% of Vet members. Currently not to exceed 10.

Open house. On hold till next year.

6-21 & 22-25 Father Fest. We will have the store and recruitment booth. BBW will have his trailer out there for security.

Need someone to step up and help Gemini on recruitment.

Who should we donate money to? Think about it. We will decide at the next meeting.

We are going to clean out the shed. If you have anything in there, you need to get it out and take it home. Stuff in the shed that we do not use is going away.

Sargent at arms report:

Not present.

Secretary’s report:

Meeting minutes won’t be out till later in the day tomorrow or Friday.

A lot of people that have not shown me their insurance & endorsement yet. License and insurance. Remember you cannot ride with the group without providing this proof. (Per the By-Laws).

Next By-Laws meeting is May 12TH at 1830. If you plan on attending, please read pages 1-5 of the By-Laws before the meeting. Starting with Who we are. Look for typos and clarity.

Treasurer’s report:

Dues, need to get caught up.

We did good on both Yokes fundraisers.

Spider: Nothing currently.

Advocates report:

Digger: Not present.

Hansel: Nothing currently.

Skite: Do not pressure prospects when riding. Talk with their sponsor.

Ride & event committee:

Contact Hansel to sign up for security for Fallen Heroes plant sale.

Need someone to help with ride and event committee.

Resource report:

BBW: We helped 4 vets this past month.

Late Friday afternoon, while helping a vet get a motel room a bystander donated to CVR and paid for the hotel room for one week. Then gave the Vet a job in construction. AMAZING!

Outreach center report:

Fallout: If someone is working the canteen, stay out from the back of the bar.

Tink’s stitches come out Thursday.

Membership committee:

Retention Committee. (Cornfed, Sweed, BBW, Hansel and Digger).

Cornfed: Quick and Gnomie’s patches have been returned to the club.

Recruitment Committee. (Gemini).

We have new trifolds. See Gemini.

Working with Rosebud and others to make a quilt from former long sleeve POW/MIA T-Shirts and sleeves.

POW/MIA:

Scout: We only have one T-shirt design so far; the deadline is the June meeting. Artistic people wanted.

Store report: (Flip flop, Stitch, Conda, Momma Bear, Stogie, Nuggets & Pricilla).

Service vet hoodies 1-small, 1-Medium, and 2-Large.

Tank tops Male and female.

Price list will be posted soon.

5/15/25 Fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse

5/16/25 1800. Potato bar fundraiser, talk with Gemini to see what other toppings they will need. All food items need to be at the O.C. no later than 1700.
