    COMBAT VET RIDERS

    General meeting Minutes

    April 2, 2025

    Call to order: 1830 Members/auxiliary & guests: 56

    Officers present: Vice President; Scout, Sargent at arms; Sweed, Secretary; Dawg, Treasure; Elvis and Spider, Advocates; Digger, Hansel and Skite.

    Pledge, Moment of silence: SA.

    Drew from Newbyginings: We have 6800 Vets, Gold Star and family members enrolled.

    6/28/25 Newby/Byers ride. Starts at Newbyginings / Ends at the Bunker Bar. Music provided by Kelly Hughes band.

    11/1/25 Newby Ball and Galla. Food provided by Bunker Bar.

    President’s report:

    On their way to Alaska.

    Vice president’s report:

    Elder patch. The E-Board will meet and decide how we will distinguish requirements for the elder position. (Building the framework).

    Sargent at arms report:

    Look out for your brothers and sisters.

    No more telling prospects they are in trouble when they are called to the E board.

    Secretary’s report:

    Life Flight deadline is 11, April. I will be at the O.C. on Friday the 4TH and 11TH.

    License and insurance. Remember you cannot ride with the group without providing this proof. (Per the By-Laws).

    4/30/25 Voting members meeting. 1830 followed by the E board meeting.

    Treasurer’s report:

    Elvis:

    Square now evened the charges for use to 2.6% plus $0.13.

    Elvis: 50/50 went very well. 2 winers donated their winnings back to the club.

    A lot of members have not paid their dues this year.

    Spider: Nothing currently.

    Advocates report:

    Digger:

    4-12-25 Spring opener. O.C. 0830. KSU 0900. Down to Lewiston to see Greta and remember Frogman.

    Rip Snort Patch. For those who go on pre rides. $20.00. $6.00 for the patch and $14.00 to Pluto’s dogs. (remember these dogs are service animals).

    Hansel: nothing currently.

    Skite: Nothing currently.

    Resource report:

    BBW: We helped 6 Vets last month.

    Ride & event committee:

    Gnomie: Ride and Event board has been updated.

    4/11/25 1030 internment for a Air Force Vet. Reception to follow at VFW post 1435. (off Sprague).

    4/21/25 R&E committee meeting, 1830. At the O.C.

    Hansel: Event update.

    4/19/25 0900, Fundraiser at Yokes on Sprague.

    4/23/25 Fundraiser at Applebee’s at North point center. 1100- close.

    Outreach center report:

    Fallout: Door lock will be changed 4/3/25. If codes are changed Scout will Text you your new code.

    O.C. is rented for 4/26 & 27/25.

    POW/MIA:

    Scout: Cutoff for shirt designs is the June meeting. We still need baskets and donations. (hit up the big companies).

    4/28/25 POW/MIA meeting.

    Membership committee:

    Retention Committee. (Cornfed, Sweed, BBW, Hansel and Digger).

    Cornfed: Letters are going out to members. If you are questioned about the letters, please direct them to one of the committee members. (see above).

    Recruitment Committee. (Steveo and Gemini).

    Steveo: Nothing currently.

    Store report: (Flip Flop, Stitch, Conda, Momma Bear, Stogie, Nuggets & Pricilla).

    Several items are on sale. Still have the donated Vest 3x.

    Trying to place an order for member wear. (26-piece minimum order).

    Auxiliary report:

    Gemini: Newbyginings food drive was AWESOME! There was no more room in the truck.

    Fund raiser at Texas Roadhouse next month.

    4/29/25 Auxiliary meeting 1830. Potluck.

    5/16/25 Fund raiser. Potato Bar 1800. $10.00 per plate. Potato’s provided by Water Bug; Beef provided by GunZ.

    Chaplin’s report:

    Precious: Keep Hiccup, Tink, water Bug, Bug’s Kathy, Runaway’s family Jeremiah’s family and Gretta in your prayers.

    Digger and BBW have volunteered for Vet court.

    KCVC Vet court in Idaho is now open. They need mentors to help. They only have one currently. (Idaho CVR members are encouraged to join in).
