General meeting Minutes

February 5TH 2025

Call to order: 1832 Members/auxiliary & guests: 57

Officers present: President; Jeremiah, Vice President; Scout, Sargent at arms; Sweed, Secretary; Dawg, Treasure; Elvis and Bug, Advocates; Digger, Hansel and Skite.

Pledge, Moment of silence: SA.

President’s report:

Vote for Sweed to be SAA. 40 Yea, 0 Nea Unanimous.

E Board approved a new level of membership. (Elder). Retired but still giving us the benefit of their knowledge. Still working out the details.

Loose lips in public. Do not talk about club business in public.

Respect from other clubs. Must give it to receive it. Introduce yourself to members of other clubs. Especially in our house.

Thoughts on OC. Rental. Bring concerns to the E Board through an advocate.

Social media attacks and what we are doing about it. Do not reply to any post about the club. Bring comments and questions to the President or Vice President.

Fallon Heroes still need military style boots.

Vice president’s report:

Created a new Email account For Membership committee, (Membership@combatvetriders.org).

Newby-Ginnings. QR code on Facebook to vote for Newby-ginning’s, to win the best non-profit. Substantial amount of money. Only one vote per person.

2-24-25 1830 POW/MIA meeting.

Doing the ruck for March for the Fallen this year. Doing all 15 K with a 50 lbs. pack. Would like other members to join him.

Sargent at arms report: Nothing currently.

Secretary’s report: Nothing currently.

Treasurer’s report:

Elvis: Known associates Pay dues to the Treasurer. Catch up your dues, at 91 days you are not considered to be in good standing.

Bug: Nothing currently.

Spider: Getting everything caught up.

Advocates report:

Digger: Nothing currently.

Hansel: Nothing currently.

Skite: Nothing currently.

Resource report:

BBW: Helped 5 Vets last month, 2 already this month. Apparently, no one else has money to help.

Ride & event committee:

Gnomie:

2-22-25 Frosty Buns ride. OC 0800 KSU 0830.

4-12-25 Spring opener. Times TBD.

Hansel:

2-19-25 Fundraiser at Applebee’s. North Point Center. 1100-close.

Possible fundraiser at Northtown Mall.

Trying to put a golf tournament together.

Membership Committee:

Retention Committee. (Cornfed Steveo, Sweed, BBW, Hansel and Digger).

Checking attendance and dues status.

Recruitment Committee. (Steveo and Gemini).

Going out to recruit new members.

Outreach center report:

Fallout: New monitor, 3 new cameras (4Mega Pixels) to cover all our grounds. Approved by E Board. We need to send Mike a thank you card for the camera work.

We are doing good. Lots of praise on the OC. Clean and comfortable.

Making a list of rules for OC rentals.

Store report: (Stich, Conda, Momma Bear, Flip flop, Stogie, Nuggets & Presilla).

2-17-25 Next meeting.

Store will reopen at the March meeting.

Ready to rock and roll for the Bike show.

Auxiliary report:

Gemini: Canned food drive this month for Newby-ginning’s.

Thank you for all the great help last year, we had a banner year. Hope to do it all again this year.

2-25-25 1830, Auxiliary meeting kickoff. All wives and girlfriends are encouraged to attend.

3-13-25 Fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse.

3-8-25 at the O.C. Elder members recordings. Panhead 0900-1100, Precious 1100-1200.all elders 1300 till done sit and reminisce. All members and their families are welcome. Pizza and potluck. Steveo and Stogie will be filming. Weather permitting photos of you and your bike.

Bike show signup by the march meeting. 3-14 through 16-25.
