General meeting Minutes

March 05, 2025

Call to order: 1830. Members/auxiliary & guests: 68.

Officers present: President; Jeremiah, Vice President; Scout, Sargent at arms; Sweed, Secretary; Dawg, Treasure; Elvis and Spider, Advocates; Digger, Hansel and Skite.

Pledge, Moment of silence: SA.

Gretta, Frogman’s wife returned frogman’s walking stick to the CVR O.C.

Support plaque awarded to Austin Wagner for the Road King fuel tank. (auctioned at the POW/MIA).

Support plaque awarded to Aaron Meldrum from American Metal Fabrication & Welding for the Harley Davidson sign (auctioned at the POW/MIA).

President’s report:

Expectations of the people wearing the Known Associate patch. (See By-Laws).

Family update. Daughter that lives in Alaska has stage 4 breast cancer. Jeremiah is transferring his union to Alaska for the time being. He will attend the E board meetings via phone and will try to attend all member monthly meetings.

Elder position and patch. vote of membership 38-0 Yea.

C.O.C. (Council of Clubs). Rejoin, vote of membership 38-0 Yea.

Yamaha, sell to a veteran, list as a donation, vote of membership 38-0 Yea.

SCC scholarship. Reinstatement, vote of membership 38-0 Yea.

Review our back patch, Chain instead of cheerios, add the circle-R as this is our registered trademark. Replace all the new patches at no charge to the members. You will have to get the new patch sewn on yourself.

Do not talk about club business in public. This has been a problem. Hate or disrespect towards other members or clubs will not be tolerated. Respect other clubs’ members and their patches as well as their privacy.

We need to keep the coffee lane open at Central Grind coffee until they close 1830.

In general, be respectful you represent CVR.

Vice president’s report:

Club will pay for business cards for the E board.

Sargent at arms report:

Read the bi-laws, Proper club etiquette.

Motorcycle maintenance reminder, check your tires, air pressure, lights, and fluids.

Use the mics when talking, for those who do not hear so well.

Secretary’s report:

I am checking license endorsements, and insurance.

Life Flight paperwork is here. $75.00 per household this year. Are enough people interested? Minimum of 10. Cutoff date is April 10TH. (We need at least 5 more people).

Treasurer’s report:

Elvis: Dues.

Bike Show, we will have a 50/50 each day. Work in 3-hour shifts. As usual if you are not scheduled in the booth stay out from the front of the booth. Let people into the front of the booth. Members will be selling 50/50 tickets, drawing every night. Need not be present to win. Pick up your bracelets at the OC. Envelopes on the Officers table. Only take the one with your name on it.

Spider: Nothing currently.

Advocates report:

Digger: 1000 pictures with your bike. 1100 Precious’s video come watch and listen to his stories.

Lolo pass ride information is on the CVR Facebook page, Make your reservations early.

There is a new committee for Historian, (Digger and Stitch), You can join as well.

History of our patch;

Chain: our common interest.

Black background: Death of our brothers and sisters in combat.

Gold: Eternal boots on the ground.

Dog tags: battlefield cross and the original 13 states.

Hansel: Nothing currently.

Skite: Nothing currently.

Resource report:

BBW: We helped 8 Veterans last month.

Ride & event committee:

Gnomie: Ride and Event list. Updated list is on the board, CVR Facebook page and on the forum calendar.

Hansel: 3/14-16/25 Bike show.

Applebee’s every other month.

Next fundraiser at is May 4TH at Yokes. Argonne village.

Outreach center report:

Fallout:

Crowd control straps and polls were parched for us

Cooler and water on chase vehicles in warm weather.

Membership committee:

Retention Committee. (Cornfed Steveo, Sweed, BBW, Hansel and Digger).

Nothing currently.

Recruitment Committee. (Steveo and Gemini).

Nothing currently.

Store report: (Flip flop, Stitch, Conda, Momma Bear, Stogie, Valkyrie, Just Rob (Vanna White), Nuggets & Pricilla).

03/14/25 Load the trailer for the bike show Thursday 1230.

03/14/25 Bike show setup Thursday at 1300.

Mechanics shirts, Prepay. (See Facebook).

Shirts on the rack are just $5.00 each.

3XL leather vest $75.00. money goes to the club.

Auxiliary report:

Gemini: VP-Stogie. Secretary-Bubbles.

Can food drive. Accepting cash and will match up to $500.00.

3-13-25 Fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse. 10% of food bill will go to Christmas for Vets families.

POW/MIA:

Design contest for the artwork starts now. Through the June meeting. Prize is $100.00.

We have the donation letters for POW/MIA (3 pages you must staple them yourselves). flyers are also on the E Board table.

Start thinking about raffle baskets.

Precious: Keep Jeremiah’s Daughter, Tink, Panhead, Push, Mema, Precious’s sister (head injury) Strider (was at the meeting).

New business:

We will mark our fallen brothers’ graves with a CVR flag this Memorial Day.

Razor: Be vigilant out there, Drivers are not used to us being out there anymore.

Riding tip, Swerve takes two moves, push pull, turn, and counter steer. There are two types, clutch out and clutch in will respond quicker.

Spokane Chief’s want 6 of our members to be on the podium for the Veteran’s appreciation game in November. Date and time TBD.

3/8/25 UFC fights 1700 @ the OC.
